It is well known that recovering data deleted from a solid-state drive (SSD) is very challenging. Typically, when data loss is noticed, the file contents are scattered across the entire drive. Of course, this rule mainly applies to large files. This time, we received a Crucial MX500 500GB SSD. The user accidentally deleted the entire email archive while setting up a new email account. Naturally, due to the reasons mentioned above, recovery of the full archive was unsuccessful. However, since each email is relatively small in size, a significant portion of the emails (without attachments) was recovered and returned to the client.
