The thinnest hard drive we have ever received is the Seagate ST500LT035 model, only 5 mm thick. For comparison, we photographed it alongside a cotton swab. Despite its size, the drive was disassembled and “resurrection” procedures were performed. When connected to specialized laboratory equipment, the drive successfully initialized. The data was recovered successfully.
