We received a microSD card with an adapter. According to the client, when connected, the entire computer would freeze. This was an unusual situation, as most cases involve completely non-functional or formatted cards. After removing the microSD card from the adapter, we connected it to our lab computer, where the freezing issue was confirmed. Disconnecting the card restored the computer’s operation.
During further work, the microSD card was connected to a custom-built reader with voltage regulation. After supplying a precise 3.3V power, the card successfully initialized. Data was partially read. By adjusting the power supply voltage and supplementing the recovered data, we managed to recover 88% of the data.
