This time, it’s a relatively simple microSD memory card case. The user was using it in a dashcam. There was a traffic accident, where the other party was likely at fault and did not deny responsibility at the time. After the incident, the user decided to use a higher capacity memory card in the dashcam (to store more video footage). The old card was removed, formatted, and then used to store music for the car stereo.
The problem is that recently the user received a summons regarding that traffic accident and came to us for help retrieving the previously mentioned video footage. Although the card was formatted and some data overwritten, the specific video was partially recovered (there are gaps, but the main content is clear).
Good luck with your defense! ![]()
Data recovery from microSD cards may be necessary in various situations such as unexpected data loss, card damage, or misplacement. Here are some steps and guidelines on how data can be recovered from a microSD card:
Check the interface: First, verify whether your computer or device recognizes the microSD card. Make sure the card is properly inserted and there are no visible signs of physical damage.
Backup copies: If you have a backup of your data, this is the best way to restore it after unexpected loss. If possible, use backups from cloud storage or another secure location.
Professional help: If regular software tools don’t work or if you suspect the card may have physical damage, you can consult with professional data recovery specialists. They have specialized equipment and expertise to recover data from damaged cards.
It is important to remember that each case is unique, and the success of data recovery depends on many factors, including the cause of the loss, the condition of the card, and the recovery methods used. It is advisable to follow safe handling practices with the card to prevent data loss.
